Grand Canyon Train Tour from Sedona - Observation Dome Class

The historic Grand Canyon Train

The historic Grand Canyon Train

The Grand Canyon Train Tour from Sedona - Observation DomeClass is a tour of the Grand Canyon that includes a 65-mile ride on the historic Grand Canyon Train in Observation Dome Class (also available in coach class, club class, first class, and luxury parlor car).

All Aboard! Your day begins with complimentary pick up at your hotel or resort. Enjoy the incredible views as we make our way to the Grand Canyon Train Depot in Williams, Arizona.

Next we will board the historic, century-old Grand Canyon Train. You'll be entertained by cowboy characters and enjoy the tunes of strolling musicians as train travel from the early 1900's is recreated during the scenic 65-mile journey to the Canyon.

The train offers wonderful views of the San Francisco Peaks and rolls through valleys filled in wild flowers, dense pine forests, high desert plains, and small canyons. The Grand Canyon Train is one of the best ways left to experience the old west. The train arrives just steps from the Grand Canyon's South Rim.

Observation Dome Class -- Two of the First Class cars also feature an upper-level glass enclosed dome which features more seating. You haven't seen it all until you've seen the panoramic views from an air-conditioned streamliner dome car. Fresh fruit, pastries, coffee and juice are provided. Service of fine spirits is available. Children under 11 not allowed.

Other Classes of Service Available -- Five classes of service are available: coach class, club class, first class, and observation car, and luxury parlor car

At the Grand Canyon, you'll have free time to shop, dine or just take in the incredible canyon views.

Then your guide will meet you in the bus and take you to the East Rim to a few more great lookouts. As we drive out the East entrance we will drive along the Little Colorado River Gorge into the Navajo Nation. Here we will stop at the Historic Cameron Trading Post before returning to Sedona. You will have the opportunity to browse the Native American artwork and shop for souvenirs. A great day in the west!

What should I bring and what should I wear for my trip to the Grand Canyon?

You should wear comfortable shoes, a hat to keep your head protected from the sun, sunglasses, and sunscreen. It may be cool in the early morning or evening and can get very hot in the afternoons. A light shirt, shorts, and a rain jacket are recommended in warmer months. It does rain in Arizona so you may also want to carry an umbrella. Light day packs are great for carrying everything you will need and for filling up with all of the wonderful souvenirs that you will find at the many gift shops. Don't forget your camera with plenty of film.

Tour includes free pick-up from all Sedona, Village of Oak Creek, and Oak Creek Canyon hotels and resorts. Child age is 11 (children under 11 are not allowed in the Observation Dome Car.) Please reserve online or call 888-811-9250 for reservations or more information.
